Alexander Hsinien King, L.Ac., CMD., is a board certified licensed acupuncturist, and clinical herbalist. He is the
youngest graduate in school history to have earned his Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture & Oriental
Medicine from Dongguk University in Los Angeles, California.
Alexander practices a holistic, natural approach to health with an emphasis on preventative care. He strives to
create a healing environment where his patients are not only freed from pain and disease, but can also learn to
live healthier lifestyles. His work stems from a deep desire to help his patients overcome physical and emotional
challenges to improve their health and well being. As a 4th generation Chinese medicine practitioner, Alexander
combines his roots in Chinese medicine with a wealth of knowledge in western medicine and biotechnology to
address all aspects of his patient's lives.
Alexander specializes in traditional Chinese acupuncture, Korean acupuncture, as well as his own family's style of
acupuncture passed down from his father. Alexander also carries a unique style of family herbal medicine, Tui na
(Traditional Chinese Massage), and moxibustion (heat therapy).
Alexander is a board certified and licensed acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the State of Maryland. Alexander is also the youngest
practitioner to have obtained the Doctor of Chinese Medicine certificate in the United States.
Chenxi Yang was born into a family with a long history in Chinese Medicine. Since youth, she has admired and is
greatly influenced by her grandparents and parents. She started her training in the field of Chinese Medicine at
the age of 12. She was admitted to the Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After extensive studies
in Acupuncture and bedside medicine, she graduated in 1987 with her master's degree in 1987. The same year,
she began her work in the Yunnan Provincial Hospital at Kunming's Acupuncture Department as Chief Doctor.
After gaining over ten years of experience as an Acupuncturist, she was selected to do research study on
Acupuncture treatment of the after-effects of head trauma in Austin, Texas. Her work in the study gained her a
Honorary Citizen of the City of Austin from the Mayor of Austin and a Honorary Citizen of the State of Texas from
the Governor of Texas.
Chenxi Yang is certified and licensed as an acupuncturist by the United Staes Natioal Commision for the
certification of acupuncturists (NCCAOM) and by the state of Maryland and Virginia. She is also certified an
oriental medicine doctor by NCCAOM.
In 2013, Chenxi Yang was able to obtain the Doctor of Chinese medicine certificate.
